A Holy Week Resource for children, adolescents and adults” 
A play or pageant called “From crib to cross to cave” aims to assist Primary-aged children in journeying with Jesus and recalling some key events in his life, from the time he was born to his death and resurrection. The play commences with some soldiers looking for pieces of wood to make into a cross. All they can find is an old crib – Jesus' crib – which they pull apart and make into a cross. The play is written in six scenes which can be used individually or as a whole. The scenes are: (1) Looking for a cross (2) Annunciation (3) Birth of Jesus (4) Baptism and Temptation (5) A Mountain top experience – Transfiguration (6) Trial and crucifixion.
“Facing the last days with Jesus” is also suitable for primary aged children. This is presented in five sections, with each section using a different creative technique to assist children's reflection: (1) “The Messiah enters Jerusalem” uses the technique of liquid pictures (2) “Gathered for a Meal” uses the technique of sound effects (3) “One last prayer” is presented as both liquid pictures and a chorus poem (4) “Betrayed by a friend” is presented as a tableau with a suggestion of using drama bags and (5) “Battered and broken” is the story of the crucifixion using a chorus play .
“Palms to Passion” is particularly appropriate for use on Good Friday morning. Suitable for adolescents and adults, the “Palms to Passion” reflection focuses on some central characters in Jesus' life and tries to capture the ambivalence of those people who one day adored Jesus and the next day abhorred him!
Also ideal for use on Good Friday morning – or any time during Holy Week – is “The holy ground of struggle and strain”, a creative form of the Stations of the Cross, covering the key moments in Jesus' journey to Calvary. Suitable for adolescents and adults and easily adapted for use with primary aged students.
